As if the man isn't in our homes enough, the Fed has announced that as of Feb. 19, 2009 analogue TV signals will stop broadcasting. Everything will switch to digital. So if you don't have cable or a dish, and have coat hangers for antennas, you will be screwed. Oh, but wait, big brother has a plan. The Department of Commerce's National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has set aside $990M to help people with the transition. Each household is allowed a certain number of coupons, which can be applied for from the man, to purchase a box that will convert the signal. However, you do have to prove that you have an analogue TV set, don't have cable, or a dish. This is the part that confuses me, how exactly do you prove that? "You can see that I have no cable by the proof that I have no bill!"
